Services Offered
by our
Professional Researchers
Consultation:
A service in which a professional researcher reviews what you know about your
ancestor and identifies the best records for you to search next. Perfect for clients
who want advice on which records to search, but who want to do the searching
themselves. Our professional genealogists study a client's findings and the sources he or she has already
searched for an ancestor. They then recommend specific
genealogical records the client can search
next to learn more about the ancestor.
Full-scale
Research: A search of the most useful records for your ancestor's
time and locality. Billed by the hour, this efficient service allows
our professional genealogists to
use their special skills and training to your best advantage to locate, search, photocopy,
analyze, and report on your ancestor's records.
Library Tour:
A walk-through of a genealogy library, followed by research assistance. Our
professional genealogists introduce you to the
library's layout, catalog, and finding aids, and teach you how to access
the library's genealogy records efficiently. Then we help you locate,
research, analyze, and photocopy records pertaining to your family
history. Our professional researchers offer most of their Library Tours
at the Family History Library, the finest genealogical library in the
world. To read about the Family History Library's peerless collection of
genealogical records, click here.
QuickIndex:
A fast, affordable, powerful search which lets you know how productive
it will be to research a given family. Our professional
genealogists search and
photocopy the most pertinent record indexes
for your family, given their era and locality. To see which records
the search may include, please see our QuickIndex
details page.
Record Search: A set-rate
service for
clients who would like us to search a single record. Our
professional genealogists offer searches of indexed birth,
marriage, death, genealogy, cemetery, census, military, land, probate, and tax records, as well as
many other types. To ask whether a certain record is available in a given
locality, simply choose a locality in
the U.S. or international
area, and e-mail one of our professional researchers!
Notes:
1. Indexed records: QuickIndex and Record Search services are available only for indexed
records. Non-indexed records take longer to search, and are thus billed
by the hour. If you request a search for an unindexed record, the
professional researcher will contact you to arrange an hourly fee before
proceeding with the search.
